sand and scrolls
the sands of time
flow alongside
scrolls of your
wasted life
our thumbs accelerate us to the grave.
no memory is made on this rectangle full of wasted days.
no story worth telling ever began with “I remember way back when i saw on my phone”.
the more you scroll on here, the sooner you’ll die alone.
morbid, i know, but life is morbid.
life is also beautiful when you pan up from your hands.
perhaps pump the brakes a bit, or at the very least, go hands free on cruise.
take a glance at the hourglass now and then, too,
as sand tumbles over you.
